November 14, 2006 – Rotary Notes

From the Top:

As you know, the Dexter Mill has been chosen as the model for our 2007
playhouse. This project can not move along without leadership. Jeff
Brown has affirmed his willingness to act as chairman of the playhouse
project. I would like to thank Jeff for taking on this project.

Larry Courson will have information at the meeting Thursday for the
families we will assist this Christmas season. Be prepared to sign-up
for this great opportunity to assist in our community.

In closing, I would like to make an observation. Meeting attendance
has been good but I'm concerned about the arrival of members at the
meetings. It seems that many of us are arriving between 7:25 and 7:30.
I have been delaying the ringing of the bell until a few minutes past
7:30 to allow for late arrivals. I will no longer wait; the bell will ring at 7:30.
I know we have this reminder about once a year, so consider this mine.
Please try to arrive by 7:20 and take advantage of the discussion and fellowship
that occurs before the meeting. I know some are delayed getting kids to school,
but any extra effort would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Fred

Paul Cousins:

Paul reports that he is recovering well despite having his femur cracked during surgery. He attended the village council meeting last night and hopes to be back at Rotary soon. Meanwhile, he’d be happy to have visitors so give him a call and stop by.
