Special Meeting Time/Place:
Remember, this week’s meeting will be
Thursday evening at 7:00 at IKEA in Canton. Please
be on time as we will meet in the lobby at 7:00 and
be shown to a private room upstairs. Our speaker
will be Lisa Allen Folkedahl of IKEA. She will talk
about the history of IKEA and how they chose the
Canton location. We will have coffee and delicious
Swedish desserts.
If you want to have dinner before the meeting, the
IKEA cafeteria has a good selection of salads,
salmon, meatballs and other typically Swedish foods
at very reasonable prices. There is also a kids’
menu.

Driving
Directions:
The address for IKEA
is 41640 Ford Road, Canton. As of Tuesday morning,
MDOT shows construction on both M-14, and Ford Road
at Canton Center. Rather than sending you MapQuest
directions which may lead you into delays, I suggest
you use your own navigation method and allow plenty
of time to get there. (MapQuest suggests it should
take just over half an hour. You can always spend
some time shopping if you arrive early.
If anyone has recent personal experience with
driving in this area please share your tips with the
group.
Can’t Make This Meeting?
This week might be a
good time to start the habit of doing make-ups.
There are meetings in our area every day of the
week!
You’ll get to meet fellow Rotarians in nearby
communities, learn what kinds of projects they are
working on and maybe hear a speaker that you’d like
to bring to Dexter. It’s not just about attendance
percentages, makeups help us get new ideas which
make our club stronger.
