April 9, 2007 – Rotary Notes

From the Top:

Seeing as this is the last week of tax season and President Fred is putting in a fair amount of overtime, I’ll presume to write for him.

First, Fred would want you to know that there IS a Rotary meeting this week. We will be having breakfast in the media center (library) at Cornerstone because the cafeteria will be full of kids.

You won’t want to miss this week’s program. John Coy will be addressing the hot question of cityhood for Dexter.

Another priority for our club now is to sell tickets to Art, Food & Wine. What makes this event fun is the wonderful variety of friends and acquaintances that you invite. What makes it profitable is inviting enough of them.

Here once again, is Fred’s new contact information at work. Please make a note.

Addendum

Two things I should have mentioned in the newsletter:

1. Stephanie Klawender has been proposed for membership. If no objections are received by the board she will be inducted at the next business meeting. Sorry I don't have more of a bio on her right now.
I'm trying to leave town for a few days or I'd chase it down for you.
(Perhaps John Hansen or Paul Cousins could re-introduce her at the next meeting?)

2. Thanks to everyone who replied regarding the Rotate Your Food project. I received positive feedback from everyone who replied so I'll pursue the project pending approval from the board.

I hope everyone had a good Easter. See you next Thursday.
