January 24, 2007 – Rotary Notes

From the Top:

We had a great board meeting yesterday morning; we'll be reviewing the
minutes at our Business Meeting tomorrow. It is great to have such a
good board to work with. As we look to spring, we'll be heading into our
two big projects: the playhouse and Art, Food & Wine. Come ready with
ideas to share.

Thanks,
--Fred

Announcements:

Last Week’s Program:

Jim Carty gave us the inside scoop on Michigan’s 2006 football season including how the passing of Bo Schembechler affected the coverage of the Ohio State game. It’s always a pleasure to have Jim speak as he shares his personal insights and makes sports interesting even for a “non-fan.”

This Week’s Program:

The program on January 25 will be the first business meeting of 2007!

Invocation:
Kim Clugston
Setup: Paul Cousins & Ulf Hillgren
Take-Down: Paul Cousins & Duane Newland

In the News:

Did you see the front page article in last week’s Dexter Leader featuring our exchange student Koy? Please bring an extra copy to the meeting if you have one.

DHS Volunteers Needed:

Dexter High School is looking for help from the community to keep the library open after school a couple days a week. The commitment is to work about once a month from 2:30-4:30 on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon. Volunteers would supervise the library and, if so inclined, provide tutoring. See Larry to get a volunteer form.
